Schiff Says Dems Must Change Strategy In Age Of Trump, GOP Dominance

California Democratic Senator Adam Schiff recounted a startling experience during his appearance on the HBO program ‘Real Time’ with host Bill Maher, revealing the moment he recognized the challenges facing his party.

The prominent figure behind the ‘Trump-Russia collusion’ narrative admitted that his party might face a loss of influence in the traditionally Democratic state of California, as a recent survey indicated that 50 percent of respondents would contemplate voting for a Republican candidate for governor in 2026.

He expressed his belief that the escalating crime rate is a significant concern, as he sought to distance himself from the lenient crime policies he has advocated for years. ‘We must alter our approach in California. It is essential to address the valid concerns of the public regarding crime,’ he stated after years of endorsing contentious bail reform initiatives.

Coordinated theft groups, resembling flash mobs that focus on retail establishments, have increasingly become a common occurrence in California due to the reduced penalties for stealing items valued under $950.

Considering this, the senator recounted a discussion he had with a cashier at a nearby Target store, to which the host humorously remarked, ‘You went there alone, without an aide?’

Earlier this month, Schiff voiced his dissatisfaction regarding the Democratic Party’s absence of a unified strategy in addressing President Donald Trump during an interview with ABC’s Jonathan Karl.

In my opinion, the absence of a unified response during the State of the Union was an error, as it diverted attention from the critical issue at hand: the president’s lengthy address of one hour and forty minutes failed to address how he plans to alleviate costs for American families. Those families, gathered around their kitchen tables, were hoping for solutions to help them purchase a new home, manage their rent, afford healthcare, or cover childcare expenses.

The legislator responded to the criticisms made by Pennsylvania Democratic Senator John Fetterman, who described the Democrats’ predicament as ‘a disheartening parade of self-inflicted wounds and irrational temper tantrums.’

They are undermining the economy, exacerbating the difficulties for Americans in affording essential goods. This should be our primary concern; it is the reason for our defeat in the previous election. We failed to concentrate on the rising cost of living, and their current actions are only intensifying the situation,” Schiff asserted, a claim that contradicts the latest economic data.
